My oldest son made this statue for our front bed garden. I absolutely love it, and I love watching my kids get inspired to create things for and from nature. Statue Man will be our new garden guardian!
What’s neat is that he also provides cover for little lizards and toads. Just perfect for this wildlife habitat.
I’ve been working on our two-year garden update, now a few days overdue. It’s prompted some necessary clean-up around the yard. And all the plants we bought this last weekend have to go in the ground first, too. But I can’t wait to get it all done. Our garden has grown, and I can’t wait to show it off!
I invite you to check out my other post today at Beautiful Wildlife Garden — all about personalizing your haven by recreating what you enjoy out in a natural habitat.
I love your rock star, it’s a very good idea, maybe he play for the bird.
Meredith, I’ve been enjoying your posts on Beautiful Wildlife Garden!
This statue is wonderful – I can just see Statue Man walking through your garden – kind of like Tin Man with those stiff joints 🙂
Thanks, Ginny and Ellada! Maybe I should rename Statue Man to Garden Golem. 🙂
That’s great! It’s in a shady spot, right? Maybe he can grow moss patterns on it now if so. It could be a like custom-made chia pet.
When my sister and I were younger, we use to love creating things like this in our yard. Once, after a hurricane passed through and took down a few of our pine trees, my dad let us keep a bunch of the cut up tree sections in our backyard so that my sister and I could make “forts” and such. I’m sure there will be many more “rock star” like creations in your garden’s future.
I love homemade art in the garden!
That’s a very cool statue for your garden. You have a creative son! Congrats on two years of progress in your garden too. It IS amazing to look back and see how far we’ve come, and blogging makes that easy.
